
A Las Vegas jury took about three hours on August 31, 2026 to find former Compton gang leader Duane Keffe D Davis guilty of first-degree murder in the 1996 drive-by shooting of rapper Tupac Shakur. Davis is the only person ever charged in the case, which stayed unsolved for nearly thirty years. He faces a possible sentence of life without parole on October 13 and has said he intends to appeal.
