NASA has launched a robotic spacecraft called LINK to grab the aging Neil Gehrels Swift Observatory and tow it to a safer orbit before atmospheric drag pulls it down. Built by Katalyst Space Technologies and carried aloft on the final flight of the Pegasus XL rocket, LINK is the first private spacecraft to attempt to capture an uncrewed United States government satellite.
