NASA's New Space Telescope Might Work for 22 Years, More Than Double Its Planned Life

NASA's Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope may now have enough fuel for at least 22 years of science operations, more than double its original 10-year design life, after its first course correction used only 18 kilograms of fuel against a planned 200 kilograms. A larger-than-needed fuel tank, built for a heavier spacecraft than the telescope turned out to be, added to the surplus.
