
A USC-led study of more than 214,000 older adults across 14 countries and regions found that the risk factors most linked to dementia, including high blood pressure, low education, and smoking, vary widely depending on where people live. Hearing loss stood out as the single biggest modifiable risk worldwide, but researchers say each country needs its own tailored prevention plan rather than one global approach.
