Iranian Officials Admit Egypt Port Strike Was a Warning as Middle East War Widens

Two Iranian officials told the New York Times that a drone attack which set two gas tankers on fire at Egypt's Damietta port was meant to show Tehran's ability to disrupt global shipping and energy supplies if the war escalates further. The admission came days after US Central Command carried out a 'heavy wave' of strikes on Iranian targets, as the conflict spreads to new countries around the region.
