
Researchers at King's College London found that KCL-286, a drug originally developed to treat spinal cord injuries, repaired DNA damage and reduced inflammation in a mouse model of Alzheimer's disease. Because it has already passed human safety trials for its original use, scientists hope it could reach Alzheimer's clinical trials faster than a brand-new drug.
