For a woman speaking, 'rotze' becomes 'rotza', and 'be' plus 'ha' contracts into 'ba' attached to the noun. Kate explains in English, then asks what you want to order so you say 'rotza' again immediately.

Many English speakers can sound out Hebrew from years of Hebrew school and still cannot ask for a coffee in Tel Aviv. Prayer-book Hebrew and street Hebrew share an alphabet and little else. Roots and binyanim
Hebrew builds words from three-letter roots poured into patterns: k-t-v gives 'katav' (he wrote), 'nichtav' (was written), 'hichtiv' (dictated), 'hitkatev' (corresponded). It is elegant and it is a lot to hold in your head. Speakers learn to feel the pattern by using it, not by memorising the chart.
Gender in every sentence, including 'you'
'Ata' to a man, 'at' to a woman, and the verb changes with them: 'ata rotze', 'at rotza'. English speakers get the noun genders wrong and the second-person forms wrong, every sentence, until someone corrects them every time. That is the whole reason for a live tutor.
