France Makes History With First National Cat-Qubit Quantum Computer

France has become the first country to deploy a national cat-qubit quantum computer. Built by startup Alice and Bob and installed at a major CEA research centre near Paris, the 18-qubit system natively suppresses one of the two main error types in quantum computing and is backed by the France 2030 investment programme.
