New Cancer Drug Daraxonrasib Nearly Doubles Pancreatic Cancer Survival in Landmark Trial

A Phase 3 clinical trial presented at the ASCO 2026 annual meeting showed that daraxonrasib, a novel oral RAS inhibitor developed by Revolution Medicines, nearly doubled median overall survival compared to chemotherapy in patients with previously treated metastatic pancreatic cancer. Patients on daraxonrasib survived a median of 13.2 months versus 6.7 months on chemotherapy, reducing the risk of death by 60 percent. The results earned a standing ovation and were simultaneously published in the New England Journal of Medicine.
