America Softens Its Nuclear Demand on Iran as Another Tanker Is Hit and Oil Jumps Toward 92 Dollars
Vice President JD Vance said Iran must make a meaningful cut to its uranium enrichment capacity to end the war, wording that analysts read as a retreat from Washington's earlier demand that Tehran give up enrichment entirely. Reuters reports the two sides have exchanged proposals to stop the fighting and reopen the Strait of Hormuz. A tanker off Qatar was struck by several projectiles and crude oil jumped almost 4 percent to about 91.66 dollars.
