China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology published a 2026 to 2030 blueprint on September 8, 2026, targeting 9,800 exaflops of intelligent computing capacity by 2030, up from 2,185 exaflops in June. The plan commits about 3.8 trillion yuan, roughly 532 billion US dollars, in cumulative information technology infrastructure spending and calls for the orderly deployment of clusters holding more than ten thousand accelerator cards each. It builds on the East Data West Computing hub network, which already operates 52 such facilities.
