A slow moving noreaster battered the United States East Coast from Friday through Sunday, killing a New York City housing worker, knocking out power to more than 130,000 customers and pushing seawater into streets from Virginia to New England. Wind gusts reached 81 miles per hour at Montauk Point on Long Island, and more than 250 flights were cancelled at Boston Logan airport. Forecasters warned that coastal flooding would continue through Monday morning.
