New Horizons Data Reveals Liquid Nitrogen Recently Flowed Across Pluto's Icy Heart

A new study of NASA's New Horizons images shows liquid nitrogen rising through cracks on Pluto's giant Sputnik Planitia glacier, the first evidence of liquid recently flowing on the dwarf planet's surface. The find, led by mission scientist Alan Stern, was published in The Planetary Science Journal.
