Frequently asked questions
Can participants without a computer at home take part?
Yes. They can take the test at a training centre or employment office on any computer with a camera, a microphone and a headset.
Can results be grouped by region, provider or cohort?
Yes. Groups and reporting fields are set up for your program during the pilot, and results can be exported.
Is SpeakBase an officially recognised exam body?
SpeakBase issues CEFR-aligned certificates of its own. Whether a program accepts them is the program's decision, which is why we recommend starting with a pilot.
How is personal data handled?
Photos and recordings are used for identity checks, integrity checks and scoring, and are deleted after 90 days. Results and certificate records are kept so they can be verified.
